The Functioning of a Computer’s Keyboard The Functioning of a Computer’s Keyboard Machine language is one of the most intriguing things that humans have ever discovered. The machine is usually linked through various electrical signals that are meant to compute different commands when activated. A good example is a machine’s keyboard. The keyboard ca be indirectly or directly connected to the motherboard of the machine. The keypads form the physical interface that can be understood by human beings.

However, below the keypads are electrical contacts that are activated every time any keypad is pressed. The aim of this paper is to explore the electrical complexities of these electrical connections.The motherboard of a computer/laptop is a single platform that houses so many electrical connections. The connections are used to perform a wide array of activities. For instance, one part is connected to the power system of the computer, another to its Wi-Fi connectivity settings, another to the volume and so forth.

On all motherboards there exist the keys F0-F9. These keys are mostly used to perform the basic/primary functions in a computer. They are used to control a computer’s BIOS. They are called function keys. Besides these, there are other keys: the alphabetical and numerical keys. These are used to support user functions in a computer. The combinations to be explored are FF, 30, 20, 00 as well as the F0-F9 functional keys.The basic electrical functioning of keypads is that, once a key is pressed, it will make an electrical contact with the motherboard.

Once this contact is made, a circuit is completed and then a signal is activated. The processor will then analyze the position where this signal originated from.
