From the existing records of football, the history of soccer can also be traced to Asia dating more than 2000 years. However, soccer tournament has remained intact with a lot of resembling how it existed in the past. The initial soccer tournament was a Chinese game termed as cuju (Dunmore and Mary 191). Cuju game constituted players ranging from a minimum of 2 persons to a maximum 10. Like the modern football, players were mandated to participate in the dribbling of the ball using any parts of the body except the hand that was considered to be against the policy. However, there was no existence of the goal post, and the players were required to shoot into some designed holes of their opponents in order to be awarded some the relevant points. In the contrast to the current football, cuju recognized the existence of fouls that attracted a deduction of points. Therefore, when a team incurs more deductions then it is likely to lose the opponents even if they have not scored any goal. Parrish & Nauright (102), have also pointed out that every participant who were scheduled for a cuju tournament. It was allocated three chances against their opponents after which, the team could be allowed to play against another team. On the other hand, Vietnamese and Philippines also played a game that was also similar to soccer. However, such a game constituted up to 30 players. Though three is lack of established fact that such a game existed for what duration, but believes such a game existed. Ultimately, other Asian countries have also confirmed that soccer probably originated from that area. However, the fun associated with by dribbling and kicking of the ball was not necessarily initiated by the Asian community. The history of soccer in Africa Soccer was introduced in Africa by the by the British colonialism in the 19th century. Despite the fact that most communities that were associated with hunting and gathering, they practiced the kicking of round wild fruits and ostrich eggs. However, they lacked mutual policies that could make such plays amount into a soccer tournament (Murray 207). The first soccer tournament was played by the British colonist in South Africa in 1862, but it later spread so quickly into mission schools by the military forces into morocco before it became adopted by most African countries. Thereafter, soccer continued to grow, but with a lot of notion that the sport was a dominance of male syndrome. With the increase in soccer popularity in Africa, football became more common as a sport for the male and no girls were allowed to play such games. Later, soccer became a common game in Nigeria where it was documented to have embraced the use of witchcraft-related activities. It was also evidenced in sub-Saharan Africa where football players believe in the use of witchcraft activities to surprise their opponents at the expense of winning a match. With the reign of apartheid in South Africa, playing off the soccer tournament was build up on two teams based on race that escalated till 1992. The above separation led to the development of Afrikaners that formed the football association of South Africa and (FASA) and the South African Indian football association that was later transformed into south African colored football association. Despite constrained popularity of Africa soccer in the international arena, Africa already had tournaments founded in the pre-colonial period. In essence, Anglo-French nation’s cup was held in Sudan in 1957. The tournament embraced different African nations including, and Ethiopia was an apparel indication about the presence of soccer in Africa. A few centuries later after the colonial period, soccer became more popular in Africa with football taking the lead. Schools in south Africa, Ghana, morocco and Ivory Coast began to play inter-school tournaments. Finally, the idea of tournaments spread outside school regions leading to the development of rule and governing policies for better management of soccer (Murray 207). History of soccer in Europe Coming up with a history of cocker has never been straight forward. Such a history has been enhanced by the fact that there already existed other soccer-like games breaking the notion of soccer to have been initiated at certain specific point. However, it is believed that both Romans and the Greeks participated in different kinds of games that involved the use of feet. With a reflection to Greek societal point of view, there was an existence of dull kicking game that was mainly meant to prepare for the battlefield (Hatfield 404). There was also the emergence of another form of soccer in France known as La choule. However, Choule was very much different from the other forms of soccer in the sense that it allowed the participants to use any part of their body while playing the game. Lack of proper policies made participants of the game exhibit violent actions such that it had be burnt at some given point. However, a different game was developed in England that embraced proper policies hence it gained popularity leading to the assigning of proper rules and regulations (Hatfield 404). One of the most memorable moments of soccer tournament was during the First World War when Germany and England participated in a football match until the pee wee period of the Christmas. Later, there was the development of an international tournament between England and Scotland in 1972 where football gained popularity as an important game in most part of Europe before spreading to other different parts of the world. The popularity of football led to the establishment of the football federation and the governing council that oversees all issues concerning football across the whole world clarifies (Hatfield 404). Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) After football had become popular in most parts of the world, there was a need to institute a governing council that would see the operations of soccer tournaments and all other associations of the football matches. FIFA was founded in Denmark in 1904 with Robert Guérin as the president. The association was instituted mainly to foresee the organization of tournaments while making sure that teams are appropriately promoted and generate revenue that is used to sponsor different kinds of teams across the world. Having been established under the bylaws of Switzerland, FIFA’s supreme body draws the supreme body from member states (De, Sanctis 52). The principle mandate of FIFA is for the recognition of awards and promotion of both men and women who are perceived to have won different matches in the field of football. Besides, the organization also has the responsibility of governance and game development. FIFA enacts official laws for the football game and disseminates the laws to football association across the world to enhance the management of checks and balances within the football body. Ultimately, FIFA also carries out the disciplinary role in the running of football and the development of matches across the world (De, Sanctis 52). Conclusion The history of soccer suggests that football and other soccer games were not only founded in England because other continents such as the Asia and Africa already had their forms of soccer. As pointed out in the paper, Chinese engage in a form of rubber balls dribbled through a small hole to score a point. On the other hand, most African communities especially those perceived to be hunters could play around wild fruits as football. However, for mutual participation of a modern football game, there is FIFA as the world football governing authority whose responsibility is to ensure that all football matches are played according to certain specific standards and regulations.
