I realized that I must plan all written products and create outlines and drafts to help organize both research and writing. I now know how to revise and edit my works that have truly improved my thinking process for my writing. In addition, I have identified and implemented proper research methods for our writing tasks. For instance, in writing technical reports, I realized the importance of secondary and primary research. Secondary research provides background information and determines the literature gaps for the primary research. Primary research provides recent and relevant information from and to stakeholders.

I know how to conduct interviews and surveys and to write proper non-biased questionnaires. Furthermore, this class has improved my ability to write for intended readers. During the revision and editing stages, feedback from my classmates and professor helped me customize my writing content and style for my readers, such as using keywords and clarifying concepts. I also can produce better arguments because I think about my audience and their needs and interests. I also consider their knowledge and provide definitions of terms and other clarifications as needed.

Moreover, I did my best to fix grammatical errors that prevent an easy understanding of my reports. Due to this class, I am a better thinker, researcher, and writer, which are competencies that are essential.
