of Articles Article The article Cashiers Sought for Health Study focuses on the hazards of cashier duty (www.newsobserver.com). Cashiersuse a paper rolls to print their daily computations. The paper prints the amount paid by the customers. Researchers from the Environmental Health Sciences agency affirmed that the cashiers’ payout machine print paper rolls was tainted with a very toxic chemical, bisphenol A. Tests were conducted to determine whether many cashiers had high levels of the chemical. Consequently, the respondent cashiers were requested to submit their urine samples. The urine tests proved that most of the cashiers had high levels of the unhealthy chemical compound. The paper shows that the cashiers have not inkling as to the toxicity of their cashier machine print paper. There are moves to change the current situation. The paper tape manufacturers have scouted for other chemical ingredients for the paper making process. The possible replacement is less toxic. The other safer chemical ingredient is called bisphenol S. With the new chemical replacement, the cashiers will no longer have to suffer from the hazardous effects of the original raw material. Prior mice tests were conducted to determine the veracity of the hypothesis that the above chemical was classified as a hazard. The mice tests proved that touching the chemical allows absorption of the chemical into the mice’s body. The same tests showed that the chemical was a health risk. The tests conducted on humans were done to complement the mice tests. Article 2 The article Popular Health-care Funds May Extend Run focuses on an important medical issue (http:/online.wsj.com). The article shows there is optimism in the election of the next United States president. The people will peg their votes on chosen presidential candidate’s capacity to turn around the current economic debacle enveloping the United States. The debacle includes the health care issues. Further, the article shows the importance of President Obama’s healthcare priorities. With President Obama’s winning the recent reelection as the United States president was classified as complying with the United States constitution. Likewise, President Obama’s pet project, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was judged to comply with all the requirements of the United States constitution. Specifically, the United States Supreme Court gave a landmark decision stating that President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act obeyed the required sections of the United States constitution. With the judgment, the hindrances to the successful implementation of the act are crushed. The same article reiterates it is profitable to invest in the United States healthcare industry. One investment adviser affirmed that the healthcare industry is a viable market segment to funnel one’s hard earned cash into. Emerson Bell highly recommended investing in one or more healthcare industry institutions. Investors can invest in the health care mutual funds. Previously, the status of the healthcare parties was less predictable. Predictability means knowing what will exactly crop up in the future, especially when the Act affects the current and future status of the healthcare patients and healthcare investors. Article 3 The article Walgreens Take Care Health Systems Forms Collaborative Relationship with LSU Health Sciences Center and LSU Healthcare Network to Enhance Coordination of Care in the Greater New Orleans Community focused on creative an effective relationship with health care entities (http:/news.walgreens.com). New Orlean’s Take Care Health System is a separate and distinct entity under the wings of the Walgreens organization. The system strives to create a strong relationship that centers on increasing patient healthcare services. Increasing includes offering higher quality options. Another option is the convenient health care services. A third component is the implementation of affordable or low –cost use of health expenses. Further, the healthcare entity’s relationship includes setting up a new clinic within the reach of the LSU Health Sciences Center facilities. Another step is to seek the LSU health facilities’ medical doctors’ help, in terms of helping the entity boost its healthcare services. A third step to strengthen the healthcare relationship is to seek the LSU students to have their healthcare duties within the confines of the Take Care Clinic’s facilities. The relationship augments the healthcare services of both Walgreens and the Clinics. Moreover, the relationship helps the patients save on healthcare costs. Both Walgreens and the Take Care Health Systems clinics charge lower medical fees. Consequently, some patients save $279 on each medical visit. Other patients save as much as $460 per healthcare visit. Just like in any relationship, the relationship will last long when the parties benefit from joining the relationship. However, when the party feels aggrieved, the party will be discouraged. Discouragement leads to breaking up from the established relationship, especially within the healthcare environment. Article 4 The article Petition for Restraining UHS from Holding Exam Dismissed focuses on the move to stop the implementation of the University of Health Sciences’ MBBS annual examination of the student populace (http://dialytimes.com.pk). The examination targeted four new medical schools. The four medical schools are located in Lahore. Lahore is found in the nation of Pakistan. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sheikh Azmat Saeed refused to stop the medical tests. However, the same justice did not prevent the complainant from filing another case. Instead, the Chief Justice instructed the complainant to file a separate suit in the proper venue. The petitioner mentioned that the tests will be given to 400 selected individuals. The test are set to be undertaken on a prescheduled date. Further, Noshab Khan filed the petition to stop the medical exams. Khan’s complaint augmented another complainant against the four medical schools. The other complaint objected to the establishment of the four medical schools. The second complaint reiterated that the four medical schools were not formally approved by the authorized government agency. The government agency is the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). The complainant insisted that the four schools were not permitted to operate. Consequently, the medical tests will be illegally done. Article 5 The article How to Play Health-care Funds focused on the management of the healthcare resources (http://online.wsj.com). The article states that the current and future investors can reap countless benefits from the recent United States elections. The article talks about the persons preferring to invest in the healthcare segment. Some individuals prefer to invest in healthcare mutual funds. The approved Affordable Care Act clearly erased the heavy cloud of doubt among the healthcare investors. Previously, the investors feared that they will not be able to recuperate their investments in the healthcare industry. However, the recently approved Act offers several avenues for the healthcare investors to get back their invested funds. Additionally, the healthcare investors will be able to generate additional benefits from their medical care investments. Because of the Act’s approval, investments in healthcare mutual funds have increased. With less prediction of mutual fund failure, more investors will willingly invest in the same healthcare mutual funds. During the year ending November 15, there was an estimated increase of 20 percent in the health care investing. On the other hand, the stock market’s Standard & Poor’s index report indicated that the index had favorably risen by an estimated 10 percent during the last 12 months. During the past 36 months, the investments in the popular healthcare mutual funds rose to an estimated 13 percent per year. Specifically, many investors funneled an approximate $3.9 billion in both the healthcare industry as well as the biotechnology areas. The Act’s implementation encourages the investors to join the healthcare mutual fund market segment. Works Cited Chappell, Helen. Cashiers Sought for Health Study. Newsobserver.com.
