This paper declares that the main potential challenge in this career is working with people of different cultures and different backgrounds; on the other hand, the main reward of this career is that it is a career that does not require a lot of academic qualifications. Employment in community health work is expected to grow by 21% from 2012 to 2022. I don’t see myself going into this career because I do not like working in any career related to health. The following are the primary tasks for this career: diagnose and treat mental disorders such as depression, encourage their clients to discuss their emotions and experiences, help clients to process their reactions and adjust to changes in their life, such as divorce and layoffs, and guide clients through the process of making decisions about their future; also tasks in mental health counselling and marriage and family therapy involve helping clients develop strategies and skills to change their behaviour and to cope with difficult situations, coordinate treatment with other professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, and refer clients to other resources or services in the community, such as support groups or inpatient treatment facilities.  Mental health counselling and marriage and family counselling is a human service career because its tasks involve dealing directly with people and helping them to overcome the emotional and mental issues that they are going through in life.  ...Download file to see next pagesRead More
