Millennials disintegrate themselves from other generations and disregard communal endeavors. They can rarely trust other people. Indeed, our generation is self-centered where we mainly focus on our careers and seek to be different in all areas. However, despite having higher levels of education, many Millennials are still unemployed since they mostly target white-collar jobs. Although 34 % of Millennials have bachelor’s degrees, 26 % of them struggle to secure employment. Millennials have different views on important traditional institutions like religion and marriage. They disregard older generations and cling to their independent and sometimes ignorant views. Millennials are not keen on marriage with only 26 % of Millennials getting married before attaining the age of 32 years. Moreover, only 36 % of Millennials had religious affiliations by 2014 when about 79 % of Generation X was religious by this time. Millennials are more liberal where we focus on the fight for gay rights and marijuana legalization than being patriotic to the government. Unlike 64 % of Generation X who were patriotic, only 49 % of Millennials are patriotic. Millennials waste their time on social media broadcasting themselves that jeopardizes their privacy and concentration on important collective engagements. We also expect rewards to perform better and rely on our parents to do everything for us that limit our input in different areas. Millennials are so impatient and handle things in the ineffective combat style.  ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

I don’t really get the idea of this question. Why would you need to persuade somebody, that the other generation (let it be millennials, as in the topic) is different? That’s a proven fact. Each generation differs, that is why we do have generations conflict all the time since society exists. Even ancient Greeks spoke of that.

But how can you possibly convince somebody in the fact Millenials differ from other generations without using statistics and a bunch of numbers? It would not be persuasive, and also not convincing if you use only general statements without any proof. Sounds more like a personal essay or smth, not the compelling speech. I liked it. Many facts, no generalization or useless wordiness, reasoned position. Thanks!

As for me, this one was not that ‘persuasive.’ Too many facts and I got lost and bored in the second paragraph.

Thank you for an excellent example of a persuasive essay. I’ve been looking for something like that for a long time, and I know you can find a lot on the topic, starting from ‘How to write’ articles and ending up with ‘Hot topics for persuasive essays,' but not the exact example of a written essay itself. So I’m glad to download the file and save it till the next time I have to write a persuasive piece of work.
