Counselor: How did use to feel when disapproved by anyone over something you believed to know best?Client: I used to feel demeaned and irritated by any form of disapproval and resistance. Counselor: have ever felt or considered your performance in school as unpleasing or below average and embarrassing to show to your parents?Client: no, I have been a good performer and has always been free and willing to show my report forms to my parents and other family members. Counselor: At what age do expect to be independent of your parent’s support and what will you be doing at that time?

Client: I consider 18 years as the earliest time a child should be independent of the parents. The earliest I will part ways with my parents will be when I attain 22 years old and probably employed to be able to sustain my needs. Counselor: Can you say that you enjoy your adolescence? Client: being an adolescent is difficult. This relates to the availability of many vices ready targeting adolescents. Success in the endeavor signifies competence and industriousness while failure results in inferior feelings. Adolescence that usually begins from 12 years and ends at around 18 years is another significant stage of growth recognized by Erick Erikson (Truscott, 2010).
