United s of America has undergone history of dispute and ethnocentric approach with regard to the different races living within. The white have felt superior over the black. However through the period of time, this trend has taken a shift and progress and tolerance has come up into the ranks and made U.S society a more tolerate one. The slave tradition was one of the function and made event of the society in American past and was point of conflict between the different races. The Black would want freedom while the White enjoyed supremacy.

Till 1970s there were movements and campaigns that were motivated along the lines of racial discrimination. The likes of Martin Luther King and other notable individuals sacrificed their lives for the purpose of bridging the gap and eliminating the concept of Black and White within the society. The incumbent President in the form of President Barrack Obama who earns himself the title of being the First Black President in the history of United States of America make it a new trend in the overall struggle and overall journey of United States society history.

The American society is no more fragmented on the account of schools being separate for the white or the black. All schools accommodate the citizens equally without the segregation of being white or black. The job employment opportunities are equal to both the white and the black. The American society has come of age over the last century in this regard.
