In my view, the speech offered by Sir Ken Robinson is that which simply challenges the ways in which students are being taught. Furthermore, I concur that the insights by Sir Ken Robinson hold relevance. First, based on personal observations, the main reason as to why most students leave school is because they feel out of place in the education system. I argue that some of them have often felt that they do not perform well and feel no need to continue with education. In real sense, what is often to blame is lack of inclusive education.

I also concur that a lot of emphasis has been accorded to some subjects such as science and mathematics, arguably because they have better prospects than others. It is not uncommon to find parents and teachers encouraging children to concentrate on sciences. This is also evident from the fact that some of the subjects have been accorded more lessons than others. As far as ADHD is concerned, children are being treated as those with equal capability to compete. Undoubtedly, this is a distortion of reality.

In this regard, I also concur with the speaker that there is the need to re-examine the education system and make appropriate, necessary adjustments.
