At the lowest end of the ladder is the underclass who earns less than $10,000 per year and are mostly unemployed and children of these families hardly gain high school level education.
Individuals and families start moving from the lowest level of the ladder to the top level of the ladder, as families start moving up the ladder, they start gaining higher education and the kind of institutes and quality of education even changes as they move up the ladder. For example those who are from the upper middle class send their children to universities but the universities attended by their children are not as prestigious as those who are from the capitalist class. The ladder even shows that the kinds of occupations in which people from different social classes even vary, for example the capitalist classes mostly are found in the top level of the organization and those in the middle class are able to rise to the lower level management positions.

This paper intends to elaborate the fact that an individual’s social class determines what kind of life style he will be offered by the rest of the society. Usually and more specifically, there are three classes in every society: upper class, middle class, and lower class.
While politicians and pundits alike trumpet the frustrations of the middle class, little attention is paid to working class and poverty class issues. Mahony and Zmroczek (1997: 2-3) in ‘Class Matters’ also found that the public educational system they experienced was dominated by a middle class culture.
These students expect to gain a lot in these educational institutions but various issues concerned with gender, ethnicity, race and social class emerge that affect educational achievement and shape the future of these students. However, if managed well by faculty members education could be fruitful for all candidates irrespective of their social class, gender or ethnicity.
The social structure of the United Kingdom is historically directed by the element of social class. The UK society like many other developed countries was historically divided into caste system which was characterized by marriages within the same societal group and hereditary characterized by transmission of social status, occupation and political influence which will be disscused in the paper.
