Immigrants are competing with the locals in the property market and, this is positive for the American real estate industry. Owning houses is essential for the integration of immigrants into the country. During this financial year Homeland security plans to invest $ 18 million in the real estate sector to increase the assimilation of immigrants (Myers Web). The department of labor is also expected to review its policies on employment to increase the employment of immigrants. America should therefore view the benefits of immigrants to the country as a possible solution to the problem.
