Issuance of driver’s license needs to accomplish certain test to verify if the person is qualified to get a driver’s license. Alertness is necessary while driving and this is the dilemma of other people who believe that older people decreases their mental alertness they grow old. Avoiding car accidents is the main concern of those against the issuance of driver’s license to the older populations. In addition, thoseagainst the issuance of driver’s license to the older populations believe that it will lessen traffic formation once this plan is implemented. Meanwhile, the most feared complication of limiting the issuance of driver’s license to the older populations is not finding meaning and worthiness of one’s life in society. In line with this, older people must still be given the chance to have a meaningful work in their life by explaining the rationale for the limitation of driver’s license and diverting older people’s attention to a more productive and meaningful activity.
Older population should not be stigmatized for their limitation and abilities.Enforcing older people that every step of life encountered was still a great contribution to society.
