14. Growth and Development Health is an important key to attain a high level of productivity in the country. The maintenance and promotion of health is achieved through different combination of physical, mental, and social well-being to be functional throughout daily living. Annually increasing yearly the medical cost has added burden to the people thus, making them unable to achieve a better health. A state or country is responsible to public health and includes availability of competent health care professionals, improving infrastructure and other specific services like government funding to health cards that is being distributed to the public (Kovner & Knickman, 113).

In today’s health care status, almost everything increases in value. One of the federal supports to health care system was the establishment of Medicare and Medicaid coverage. Medicare and Medicaid provide health insurance to low income beneficiaries, elderly, and some of young and physically disabled person (Allen & Ochinko, 7). Cutting the government support to these health insurance systems will make the beneficiaries more vulnerable to certain medical conditions because of inability to seek medical assistance.

People are more likely to delay health consultation resulting to aggravation of condition, which are more expensive than standard health management if left untreated. The health insurance services will prevent and decline the rate of death which will show a positive outcome in the country. Everyone has the right for health, whether one belongs to the higher class or lower class society. Health and health care services should be maintained and applied to all especially for those who are oppressed and need it the most.
