By The of the The of the School The and where it is located The Does feminism remain too masculine in its conception of world peace? The topic on whether feminism remains too masculine in its conception of world peace is manly answerable by the consideration of the model of comprehension of the question. Feminism is mainly comprehended as the notion regarding women people but not lesser people. The society has consistently regarded women as inferior to the men. Feminism is a guarantee to achieving the parity and fairness the sexes in the society. The radical notion has always been objected to by the men counterparts who have always stepped the gears to have them control humanity. The process has always staged up wrangles especially from societal unit “family” to the national politics of any country. The term “too masculine” as applied refers to men as a character but in a negative way. Men typical characters include assertiveness, physical strength, courage and power. Think of this attributes in excess or too much as exposed by the term “too masculine”. Feminists demand equality from their menfolk’s counterparts an action that prompts disunity and chaos thus destabilizing the world peace from the family unit to the national politics levels (Hawkesworth, 2006, p29). Feminism is majorly a multi-disciplinary comprehension associated with sex and gender parity and has always been noted through social theories and well entailed through political activism. The feminist theory has been aiming at interrogating societal gender inequalities and allied imbalances thus fostering changes in various regions. Feminist has been active in both work and academic centers as most female students are highly entailed in active forums to recognize and act on their equality. The demand for equality amongst women can be connected to the lack of peace in the world (Bromley, 2012, P30). This has been achieved through the growing characteristic of masculinity in women that were never there before. Women or feminists have defied several beliefs that have entangled the society together in the past to adopt new kind of life in the modern setting. Many references settings like biblical teachings, Islamic teaching, and most traditions always placed women as accountable to the men. Men were allocated more roles due to their physics and other inherent abilities. Revolution in the model of work and occupation has transformed the general society thus making women able to perform jobs that ware earlier reserved for men. Such jobs included engineering, medicine, army, police and other jobs that were associated with muscles, special skills and high energy demands (Tandon, 2008, p39). Feminist have always demanded their recognition and parity through the use of activism and other means that create chaos in the society from which they come. Chaos degenerates into a lack of peace from the house level as the unit dwelling of humanity. The essence of parity amongst genders always results in lack democratic process in the uniform competition between men and women. For instance, in the political arena women have always called for equality (Enke, 2007, p28). Men have always dominated the sector due to their better wit in convincing the populace to assign them such roles. The feminists have in the recent past inclusion of established women seats through the processes such as nominations and many other processes. Free seats to women do marry well with the essence of democracy and equality in any nation. As women try to place themselves in various sectors of managements, politics, industries and many other segments in the socio-political arena approach remain undertaken in the process remains the greatest assets or else such attempts would always result in chaos and destabilization of the world peace (Hawkesworth, 2006,p56). The positions controlled by the men in the socio-political arena are rightfully gained and not through chaos. For instance, the role of men as the heads of the family unit level emanates from their huge contribution and accountability allocated to them. Historically, men were involved in security to the family, provision, fatherly roles in upbringing of children and many other outlined roles at the family unit level. The industrial revolution saw women entering into income earning jobs in the various industries. Currently, many families have women as their sole breed-winners or a huge contributor to total family income (Rose, 1993, p40). The women are now able to provide for their families unlike in the past. Modern women are also very assertive and more enlightened regarding their rights thus facilitating essence of supporting family security legal process and activism. Briefly, I tend to think that all nearly all activities undertaken by men at family level can be undertaken women (feminists) in the modern setting. However, some of the very distinct roles that men performed at the family level that cannot be performed by women is what makes men who they are associated with bravery and courage (Suzack, 2010, p34). Statistically, children recognize their fathers as strong and courageous. Male children at certain age fail to recognize order from their mothers. Too bothering and highly assertive women end up in single- parent families. Men have always shown less resilience to nagging and opposing women who disobey they advises and ideology. World peace starts at the family level as every person comes from a family. Activism amongst the feminists results in an imbalanced system that extends to the imbalanced world system. This creates anarchy in the family settings. Some women have ably stood out with their families in where their husbands became enslaved in other activities. Different activities have in the past resulted in man’s inability to control the family (Scales, 2006, p67). These activities include drug abuse, certain jobs serving in the national military forces that compel them to stay far away from the family unit and many other roles (Tandon, 2008, p34). In national politics, some exemplary women have fought many wars to see them capture top seats. Allocation of seats to women through the use of favoritism and nomination processes are typically not acceptable. For strengthening of parties from grassroots levels to the top levels, a clear democratic process is an ingredient to see elaborate system able to compete effectively with other parties. An absence of free and fair system obviously results in a weak system. Women should be encouraged to step up their means of attaining power and control of the position they aspire to take up (Jackson & Jones, 1998, p56). Some women have performed excellently in undertaking their roles. Such are the women who climbed up leadership position without blackmail, sexual favoritism and through the use of special intellectual skills and talents. Personally, I believe women can achieve the whole world not through holding billboards in chaotic activism or protesting but through undertaking skilful practice. Performing excellently in every position an individual creates a systematic improvement and gradual up-lift in the job ladder. Be it in the political or in the family level the control by the women is earned not forced. Forced imposition of women in trying control various political organization and firms through means such as equality of gender or feminist approach ignites lack of peace as it is notable in various organizations. Power is not demanded in the street. Human rights and equality for women are earnable through proper legal structuring and maintenance of a balanced system that aims to foster the rule of law. Constitutional outline of national laws always expresses optimum parity between women and men. This process entangles the society together thus creating a peaceful co-existence between men and women (Rose, 1993, p45). Furthermore, in the analysis of the feminist approaches in the society, there has been an emergence of various groups of feminisms. The groups such as the Socialist, reformist and radical feminists have all shown their contrasting roles in the society. Socialist feminists have developed a view of gender inequalities as a very inherent and intrinsic scenario to a capitalist system running various governments (Dubois, 1999, P41). Such feminism has constantly noted the cases where vast profits were derived from women’s denied or unpaid labour notably at homes or even in the workforce. Such approaches have always divided the working groups similar to what other issues like homophobia, racism, and sexism that have always apportioned the working class into unrecognizable units. Such cases are currently past due to inclusive roles of labor unions. Labor unions came harshly fighting for the workers interests. Social feminism has further prompted the development of the further fight aiming at replacing the capitalistic with a socialist system that aims at sharing the earnings of the capitalists and share it out. The role of socialist feminism is rooting out a capitalistic system and chauvinism entailed in bringing in a system that they consider more adorable is typically a continuous process (Hooks, 2000, p99). There has been the development of the reformists feminists who share the ideology that inequality could be eliminated through legislative or changes in the electoral reforms without influencing the capitalist system. Women groups aiming at reformist approach have significantly controlled the American socio-political arena. They have attached themselves to roles that they can grasp going by the current outline or system. They have created a manipulative approach aimed at political and donor’s basis. The worst segment of feminism has always been radical feminists who are the most visible in the society targeting the t male psychology or involved biology as the genesis of women’s persecution. This group of feminist have always preached and crusaded for the extreme ways or forms like separatist approach. This approach aims at a total break with male counterparts. In such ways, the radical feminists aim at running on their separate issues as opposed to recognizing the roles of the men (Dolan, 1991, p34). Radical feminism invests hugely in developing a sisterhood system that they take as a tool for tackling and encountering patriarchy. Under this system, they have misconceived the inherent class variation or ability difference that places a man at his position. They aim at creating an enlarged space between men and women (Hooks, 2000, p90). In conclusion, personally I tend to think that feminism has relatively less to achieve the societal balance. Women have talents, skills and abilities that they can use to earn respect and not through holding billboards. Women can mobilize and resources to earn support in the political sector without applying uncivilized aims such activism or favoritism approach like direct nomination. All the approaches of feminism (socialist, radical and reformist) can effectively reach for increasing for women roles and image through a constructive path. Women have their well-outlined tools that they entail in reaching their target. While all other forms feminism appears adoptable, radical approach only results in commotion and lack of peace in the world. The definition of human society is basically reduced to a collection male and female segments. Any attempt to fuse the two or any attempt by one segment to try the other would only bring a destabilized scenario and result in a chaotic world. Thus, personally I assume that feminism remains too masculine in its conception of world peace. Bibliography Hooks, B. (2000). Feminism Is For Everybody: Passionate Politics. London, Pluto Press.
