 Assignment: 1 The concept of social work came into limelight prior varied decades (Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). This concept is not offered high attention in previous days but in recent era, it flourished with remarkable leaps and bounds (Brayne & Carr, 2010). Now a day, it is recognised as one of the most famous sector, which created a niche market for itself. It evolved from grass-roots level with the help of varied types of community-based activities, organised by professionally trained individuals. Although, the role, functions, attitudes, principles and skills of a professionally trained social worker differs from one another, still one unique thing that remains within them is ethics (Brayne & Carr, 2010). These individuals mainly dream to offer effective and competent services to most its patients, so as to satisfy them. Besides, it can be judged only by thorough interventions with the patients in varied aspects. Only then, the social worker might attain detail information regarding the services offered by him/her to the client. Therefore, if proper information or facts can be attained, then the effectiveness of the services might be improved, resulting in amplification of the image and renownedness of that social service provider (Brammer, 2010). Only then the portfolio of social work can be improved with a significant extent as compared to other sectors. Due o such causes, the above mentioned laws and policies are implemented within the social working systems, so as to offer best service. Due to the implementation of these strategies and policies, the enthusiasm and zeal of providing value added services to the older generations of the society might increase (Brammer, 2010). It might prove extremely beneficial for both the older individuals and he social workers, as more and more new individuals might come forward to help these individuals. It might enhance the segment of social working organizations to a significant extent all-round the globe. Thus, to improve its bunch of services, varied researchers in diverse regions are undertaking vivid researches to implement better services (Brayne & Carr, 2010). Services, that might prove beneficial for human development, community wellbeing, public administration, improvement of the educational facilities, quality of life, better living conditions, reduction of poverty, unemployment and many more curses of the society (Brayne & Carr, 2010). Therefore, detailed analysis is essential to offer better life style and living conditions to the older generations of the society. It might improve the status and image of the entire nation among other neighbouring countries of the world (Publications.Parliament.Uk, n. d.) Apart from this, as social work is an interdisciplinary field so it comprises of laws and regulations from varied segments. It includes laws and theories from economics, sociology, psychology, philosophy, medicine, politics and anthropology as well (Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). This is because; human nature is a mixture of all of these fields. In order to study the feelings and emotions of a human being rather small or old, knowledge regarding each and every field is essential. Only then, a social worker might become successful in satisfying the needs and demands of the ailing patients. He/she might also attain a fair idea about the requirements of the patients, which is extremely essential to fulfil it. Therefore, knowledge and awareness regarding each and every subject as mentioned above might act as a ray of light for the social worker to become successful in his motto of life(Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). Then only he/she might get actual recognition within the entire group of the organization. Along with these subjects, social workers might also include high knowledge regarding the mental disbalancement (Brayne & Carr, 2010). This is because; it also acts as one of the prime causes of ailment in older days of life. Other than this, discrimination is also another vital ingredient of these deprived older individuals. Social problems such as racism, homophobia, and discrimination based on age, sex is regarded as a disease by the social institutions. In order to cope up with these problems, most of the social institutions adopted holistic approaches and strategies (Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). These approaches might help to tackle the consequences of these social problems in an effective way, by reducing its impact from the society (Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). Furthermore, social work is such a field of science that includes social theories and research methods to reduce the problems of human beings. It is performed to improve the lives and conditions of the individuals and groups of the societies (Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). It is also used to reduce the effects of chronic problems such as poverty and redundancy entirely from the essence o the society. It is such a profession, in which every individual is entirely devoted for the wellbeing of an ailing individual of the society (Brayne & Carr, 2010). He/she offers the services entirely through free of cost, for the improvement of the quality of life of the community. It also helps in reduction of various types of social issues such as homelessness. It is intricately linked with the notion of charity to help the week and needy ones. It entirely supports the health of the individuals of the society as a whole. Social worker has entirely devoted themselves for the wellbeing of the society, by dealing with its problems (Brayne & Carr, 2010). Due to such reason, the segment of social work showed revolutionary effects over the entire world. Not only this, the social workers are also responsible for providing food, money, clothes and many other valuable materials essential to tackle the daily life functions (Brayne & Carr, 2010). It is done mainly to offer value-added services and products to the poor and deprived individuals of the society. It is done to help the ailing individuals and also to reduce the problem of poverty and paucity from the entire world (Brayne & Carr, 2010). Other than this, social work also acts as a connexion, sharing value and relationships among all. This means both the social worker as well as the client shares an intimate relationship, which is tired with the knot of trust (Brammer, 2010). Along with trust, both of then shares a bond of love and kindness, so as to attain benefit from it. There remains no place for either discrimination or harassment or cruelty, which might provide harm to the patients (Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). Due to which, the bond of trust might get torn into pieces. Therefore, in order to retain the bond of affection truly affective, it is essential to communicate or intervene with one another (Brammer, 2010). It might help in translation of varied types of facts, either good or bad among one another, maintaining a uniform balance within themselves. Furthermore, through active communication or intervention varied type of positive effects might also be viewed in the behavioural aspects of the social workers. It might prove extremely beneficial for both of them in future time (Dickens, 2010). With the help of these behavioural alternations, a social worker or a client might more concerned and attentive towards his/her roles and duties. This might offer mental stability as well as happiness to the social worker, which is the most essential ingredient of any social service (Johns, 2011). Along with this, it might also enhance the level of dedication and devotion of the social worker towards the patients. It is highly essential to offer value-added services to the patients. Besides, it cannot be attained through forceful ways (Dickens, 2010). Then it might result in drastic actions, leading to varied types of negative results. Similar scenario is visible in the case study provided. In this, the social worker named Joe used to work in a day centre comprising of numerous older individuals (Brammer, 2010). Besides, being mentally dis-balanced, he tried his best to offer effective treatments to the patients, to satisfy them. Not only this, he also used to work extra hours for the ailing patients, with a very minimal wage. Still, his mother named Joyce supported him, which offered him the enthusiasm to offer ethical services to the patients (Dickens, 2013). Besides, along with extra support, his mentor also provides extreme pressure to devote extra hours for these patients. It is not accepted by Joe due to extreme tiredness and stress of over work (Brayne & Carr, 2010). Still, he used to be forced by his mentor, which is quite pessimistic on his part. So, his inner energy and zeal to serve the old individuals reduced to a considerable extent day by day. It proved quite hinderous for both of them in equal extent (Dickens, 2013). Therefore, it is essential to convince the individuals, comprising a keen interest to serve the disabled and old individuals of the society. Only then, it might prove helpful for the social working organizations to attain more and more executives to serve the older generations (Brayne & Carr, 2010). According to the Health and Social Care Act 2012, it is stated that health is the most precious thing of an individual. Due to such reasons, it needs to be preserved with extreme care(Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Similarly social care is also extremely essential, so it should also be maintained and managed. Besides, in order to help and protect individuals, one cannot destroy the health of oneself (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). It is also probably not supported by this law, as viewed in the case study. In the case study, it is viewed that, Joe is forced to devote extra hours towards the management of health of the older people. Besides, it is almost against this law (University of Southern Queensland, n.d.). Not only this, Mental Health Act 1983/2007 also depicts proper treatment of the mentally ailed individuals just like Joe. Besides, inspite of doing so, he is forced to offer extra hours of work (Department Of Health, 2008). Therefore, it can be stated from the above mentioned facts that, it is essential to implement the laws in such a way that might prove beneficial for the individuals (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Other than this, as per the laws of the Care Programme Approach, it is essential to offer quality health care services to the mentally disabled individuals. Besides, it is not maintained by the individuals of the society as viewed in the case study (The Sainsbury Centre for Mental health, n. d.). As a result, it is hindering the welfare of the individuals of the society as a whole. Along with this, proper maintenance and care of the small children’s are also essential according to the law of Children Act 1989/2004. Besides, it is not fully maintained by the citizens as seen in the case study. In the case study, both the children’s of Joe are not offered proper care, which is quite shocking (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 1989). Thus, it can be depicted that, child care is extremely imperative for the citizens of this recent generation. Apart from this, the laws and policies of anti-oppression or discrimination is also need to be entirely removed, so as to improve the segment of social work (Rcpsych.Ac.Uk, 1989). Along with this, it might also facilitate an individual to offer more dedication and enthusiasm towards old and disabled citizens of a nation or country. Besides, it can be obtained only if; the workers are offered total freedom in their manner of work (The Sainsbury Centre For Mental health, n. d.). Similarly the theory and practice of inequity is removed from the roots of the society, then it might offer fruitful results. Thus, it can be stated that in order to improve the ill-effects from the society, application of appropriate social work theories is extremely essential (Department for work &Pensions, n. d.). It can be done only with the help of proper information along with intervention as well. Without any sort of information and intervention, none of the problems can be resolved effectively (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 1989). Similarly, inspite of forceful behaviours, if the mentor of Joe can convince him through proper communication then it might become easier for both of them(Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Then, due to mutual conversation, the social well-being of both Joe and the older members of the centre might attain positive results vice versa. Thus, it can be depicted from the above mention facts that the theories of social work can be efficiently applied only through appropriate intervention and information’s (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 1989). So, these two concepts are offered high concentration and attention as compared to any other facts and policies. Assignment:2 Social work is one of the most prestigious professional regulations that might improve the quality of life of an individual (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Although, it mainly focuses on the wellbeing of the individuals or a community, still it includes numerous laws, policies and rules (Cunningham & Cunningham, 2012). Due to which, the craze and enthusiasm of social work is reducing with a significant extent. As a result, the positive effect of it is also reducing resulting in pessimistic outcomes. It is hindering the quality of life as well as well-being of most of the individuals or community groups along with young kids also (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Therefore, in order to maintain the health and welfare of the kids and community or groups, common assessment framework (CAF) is the best example. Common Assessment framework (CAF) is one of the most imperative strategies utilised to deliver excellent services to the kids and young individuals. It is mainly performed to fulfil the needs and demands of the young children’s. It also helps in assessment of the strengths and needs of the young kids and the action to fulfil it. It is a systematic and holistic approach to satisfy the demands of the young citizens (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 1990). Apart from this, CAF strategy also offers light to the role and responsibilities of the parents and the aims and goals of the kids as well. CAF strategy also offers high emphasis over the environmental factors that might prove beneficial in fulfilment of the needs and demands of the young kids (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 1990). These strategies might also facilitate the young generations of the society to reside in properly furnished and decorated homes, including all types of amenities. It might also present varied types of voluntary homes for the young citizens, thereby reducing their distress of misery (Brayne & Carr, 2010). Not only this, the deprived citizens are also offered clothing’s and food, so as to reduce the impacts of poverty and melancholy. Thus, from the above points, it can be revealed that CAF strategy acted as a boon for the young and old deprived generations of the society. So, it is adored and appreciated by maximum extent of the individuals related with his field of social work. Other than this, with the help of CAF strategy varied types of diseases can be reduced to a significant extent(Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Not only this, it also helps in development of physical and mental health as well. It also helps in fulfilment of various types of inner desires and dreams of an individual. Due to such reasons, the laws and policies of this strategy is highly preferred by the social workers in maximum part of the world (The Sainsbury Centre For Mental health, n. d.). Other than this, with the help of carers act, the goals and aims of the individuals can also be fulfilled in due course. It is extremely essential to prosper in future era of life. Due to such causes, this policy is recommended as well as followed by most of the social working organizations to satisfy the needs and demands of the individuals at their fullest extent. Moreover, implementation of this strategy also offers the benefit to fulfil the varied types of democratic rights of the young kids as well (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). In this strategy, total care and hygiene is one of the most prioritised and highlighted points among others. This is because; most of the young kids get deprived from the love and care of their parents, due to professional responsibilities. As a result, it offers high impact over the life style and nature of the kids. Along with this, various effects can also be seen within his/her behaviours and attitudes while in engaged in a community. Therefore, the mentally of the young kid do not match with others, resulting in a conflict situation. This occurs due to lack of parental care and love. Thus, in order to resolve such types of discrepancies, the strategy of CAF are introduced (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). According to NHS and Community Care Act 1990, every citizen has the right to remain healthy and fit. In lieu to this, most of the community welfare groups desire to follow the rules and regulations of this strategy (Nhs.Uk, n. d). This is extremely helpful in managing and maintaining health and security of the older and younger individuals of a community. It also helps to fulfil all of their inner dreams in an efficient manner. Similarly, the act of safeguarding Vulnerable Groups 2006 is also entirely at par with the strategy of CAF. It is describes the importance of safeguarding the disabled and older generations of the society. The poor and deprived individuals of the society need to be saved, according to the regulations of CAF(Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Not only this, they are also offered all type of rights, just as all other citizens of the society. Due to such reasons, the craze of these policies and rules are increasing at a rapid pace all-round the world (Plymouth.Gov.Uk, n.d.). Apart from this, according to the policy of safeguarding children/working together 2010 describe that, it is extremely essential to provide utmost security to the young kids working in a group. This is because, their responsibility is our duty and that need to be fulfilled with extreme importance (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Along with this, it is the moral duty of the members of the social community groups to tackle each and every matter of the kids with due importance. So, that it can lead to positive results, on behalf of the young kids. This is done o maintain the welfare of the kids, which is extremely necessary. It provides a new beginning to these young ailing kids, deprived from their original democratic rights (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Therefore, from the above mentioned facts it can be clearly revealed that the rules and regulations of CAF are extremely essential to present a unique and balanced atmosphere to live for the younger and older citizens of the society (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). Thus, it can be stated that in order to improve the conditions of the young kids of Joe, CAF might become a good example. Furthermore, the varied laws and policies depicted in this assignment also need to be implemented so as to offer a better living condition to the older and younger citizens of the society. Other than this, it might also facilitate to present best educational services to the younger generations of the society (Education.Gov.Uk, n. d.). It is one of the most essential primary needs of the citizens of recent generations. This is because, without education, nothing can be evaluated or analysed (Lbhf.Gov.Uk, 2011). Hence, from the above mentioned facts, the importance and necessity of CAF can be easily analysed and evaluated. In single word, it can be said that CAF is the lifeline of both the young and older citizens of the society (Legislation.Gov.Uk, 2012). So, it is highly preferred by the social working institutions all-over the world. Due to which, the segment of social work generated a niche market for itself among others in the market. Similarly, its position is highly renowned and respectable as compared to others. Therefore, it can be depicted that a new opening came into limelight for the young enthusiastic individuals of our generation. It created a numerous job opportunities as well for the youths, reducing the level of unemployment from our nation. So, it is extremely praised by every citizen of the diverse nations of the world. Thus, it is one of the most praiseworthy jobs in the world among all others. So, I followed that criteria and tried to describe the topics in best ways, to attain high marks among other students of my class.
