Compare and Contrast EssayThe most significant change in my life was realized following the passing on of one of my best friends in school. The most painful thing about the incidence is that this death was preventable since it resulted from bullying. Among the few best friends to the deceased, I think I was the most affected. School based bullying, which my friend failed to disclose even to the parents led to low self-esteem, then depression and finally suicidal thoughts. Prior to the loss, my life was better in that I had the company that I enjoyed after which I remain alone and not interested in new friendships.

In addition, learning was lively before my friend began losing self-esteem and becoming disoriented. Following the incident, life changed, not only for me but also for other classmates. Interaction between the students also changed from the administrative perspective. The school started paying close attention to how the students interacted to attempt to eliminate any cases of bullying. This reduced the amount of interaction as other students are afraid of expulsion if found bullying others. Although this has made the schooling grounds safer for the students with low esteem, overall interaction has been affected negatively.

However, there are similarities between the two periods; the teachers still emphasize on avoiding bullying due to the dangers involved and the act of bullying persists although in different forms such as electronic bullying. This involves bullying through electronic devices such as mobile phones. Most of the physical bullying instances have reduced significantly.
