However, it is nonetheless the only rational and ethical approach that can be taken to ensure that the shareholders are made aware of the release of information and that the firm or group is working to the best of its abilities to remedy to the situation and provide all resources to the investigation entities as a means of bringing the culprits to justice.In order to maximize a type of win-win situation, the group/firm/or entity can regularly follow up with the shareholders to show them that they have taken their privacy seriously and have not merely forgotten about the issue.

This will instill a further level of trust that has doubtless been lost as a result of the privacy breach.
