I am not surprised that he was let go from his teaching responsibilities soon after that because he was not very professional. You are very strong in your conviction that your ethics are strong because you don’t cheat, lie, or steal. But, it is about more than this. Ethics is all about making the right choice whenever a dilemma comes up. It is not simply enough to just not do the wrong thing; you have to do what is ethically right and act like a professional at the same time.

Your word is very important to you, but you have to always make sure that you are trustworthy. Once you command respect amongst your friends, you will always be looked up to as someone who has very good personal ethics.
