Be silent on other issues-either believe or disbelieve. Read them if you wish; do not read them if you do not wish. This is the practical example of mutual tolerance, which is applicable in the secular world also. Silence is the greatest virtue that can be practiced, when one senses tension on any issue, for human history is the witness—contentious issues have never been solved through violence or wars!
This paper makes a conclusion that the differences and contentions about Noah’s flood etc. may not be a major issue as for the relationship between two faiths, but as we all know a tiny spark on religious misunderstandings may lead to a wild fire. The mind-level human sentiments are easily inflamed. This story about the flood and Noah’s Ark is one of the most read stories in the Bible. It involves tragedy and it is a story of salvation. The story of destruction of mankind and its re-growth kindles deep curiosity and gives the grim reminder as to what could have been the conditions and sufferings of all those affected, when a gigantic flood drowns them all. It raises serious questions about the then prevailing conditions in the society as to warrant such an action by God! It also instructs humanity to be away from the evil influences and lead a divine life, surrendering everything at the hands of the All-Merciful! He knows what is good for us in the given circumstances of life! ...Download file to see next pages Read More

Zigerell (314) explains that the early proponents such as Galileo Galilei, Johannes Kepler and Nicholas Copernicus were all Christians. The famous scientist Isaac Newton stated that the most beautiful system of the planets, comets and sun could proceed only from the dominion and counsel on a powerful and intelligent being (Zigerell 315). Therefore, the Bible and science are closely related. Scientists agree with the physical world described in the Bible. Zigerell (315) asserts that some of the scientific principles...

...?Your Full Your 13 March Miracles of the Quran The Quran, or Qur’an, is the religious text of Islam. The word itself means “reading” or, as some translate it, “glorious reading.” The Muslims consider it to be the final revelation of God, or Allah, which was revealed to Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, who is also considered to be the last of the Prophets by Muslims. It was revealed piecemeal to him in twenty three years, starting from when he was forty, till he died at the age of sixty three. The book was not compiled during his lifetime, with many Muslims memorizing it by heart; some years afterwards, a lot of these memorizers, or Hafiz, were killed in battle, therefore, the Muslim Caliph Usman decided to get it compiled. The different between prophet Moses in the Quran and in the Bible

...?Variations in Narrating the Life and Miracles of Moses between the Qur’an Text and the Bible Text The figure of Moses is very prominent in both the texts popularly read by Muslims and Christians alike. The Muslim’s Qur’an and the Christian’s Bible significantly mention about the life and works of Prophet Moses. For the Christian believers, Moses is not a foreign figure; in fact, he is considered as one of the great prophets of the old-testament God. For the Muslim communities as well, Musa is not a strange character; in fact, he is compared to Prophet Mohammad in several ways (cf Elkayam 77). In spite of the similarity in terms of citing Moses in the two texts, the Qur’an and the Bible have still varied narrations concerning the prophet...

Comparative analysis: Creation in the Bible, Quran and Native American

... Comparative Analysis on the Theme of Creation in the Bible, Quran and Native American Creation Considering how these religions had always been in conflict with each other, it would be an interesting paper to examine the sources of their faith and compare the perspectives of how they view how man and the universe were created particularly the Bible and the Quran. It would be interesting to note that there are aspects of the Bible and Quran that are similar even if they have differences in their theology and always in conflict. The first noticeable difference between the Bible and Quran about the creation is their structure of narration. The Bible is more structured as the creation is clearly organized in the chronology of the Genesis...

The two books were written from two different viewpoints, while Hannah Arendt gives her narrative revolving around the desk bound murderer in Eichmann and the Holocaust, that of the work of Alexander Solzhenitsyn was derived from the story of that one particular day in the life of a camp prisoner, Ivan Denisovich Shukhov. Hence, this difference of attitude creates some ambiguities whether the God of OT and NT is one and the same, or they are two different gods maintaining divergent dispositions and parameters while dealing with the human beings. Bassler (1986) has made a comparative analysis of the image of God in both the Testaments in his article and pointed out the causes behind the differences between the two Scriptures while depicting the image of God. He is of the view that the Old Testament (OT) does not define the attributes of God, and the concept of the God of Israelites, according to the Old Testament, reflects the imagination of the Israelites regarding the existence...

Comparative criminal justice paper

...Comparative Criminal Justice Paper Comparative Criminal Justice Paper The role of comparative criminal justice, a majority of scholars would concur, is to compare and contrast people’s ways of reacting to crime with those practiced in another place (Dammer & Albanese, 2013). It also normally concerns, even though it does not essentially have to do so, adapting from, or at least attempting to study from, what is carried out in other regions (Dammer & Albanese, 2013). It would appear clear therefore that, if it is to be at all helpful, then comparison needs comprehension and interpreting what people in other areas are, in fact, trying to do. This paper offers an evaluation of the most central and important themes, as well as issues...

Do you know what they dug out? -- Wires! It proves that two thousand five hundred years ago, in the age of Pericles, the Greeks had telephones”. Relationship between Money Supply and Inflation in Saudi Arabia

Over the recent past, the effects of money supply, debt and inflation have become contentious issues for debate. Furthermore, frequent cautions concerning the risk of very large budgetary deficits aver that this would send up the upcoming state debt and capital rate as indicated by the rates (interests). As a nation, Saudi Arabia has a bi and enduring budgetary deficit over the past two decades and the government has been forced to go into the market so as to have loan access and to make up for the deficits. Given the impact of this on inflation and other economic variables, it's imperative and of great alarm for strategy architects (strategists) to understand how microeconomics has an effect on money supply, financial plan defici...

Evaluation of Children with Visual Impairment between Ages 4-12

A visually impaired child may suffer from incomplete sight, reduced vision, total blindness as well as legal sightlessness (Kelley and Gale p 45). It is a condition that may become severe in a child, thereby affecting its growth and development. The impact is usually dependent on the kind of loss, age at which it occurs, as well as the general body functioning of the child. The normal interest that is usually evident amongst children on seeing attractive items in their surroundings lacks in a visually impaired child. This may interfere with the child’s learning capabilities unless he/she is assisted to learn. The development of social behavior in children usually depends on the ability to see parents or those in charge of ca...

The Relationship Between Common Law and Custom, Equity, and Books Of Authority

This follows the common law theory that cases that have a great deal of similarity should need to be dealt with similarly and decisions or court verdicts passed accordingly, although this may not be viewed as strict practice. Custom, as a historical source of law, could be said to be the legislative statutes or laws that need to be implemented from time to time, and could also be termed as statutory laws that monitor public conduct. Thus, it could be said that while regulatory laws are created and nurtured by legislations and regulations, through the executive powers enforced by executive branch agencies, this is done through the delegation of authority from the top downwards. However, in the case of common law or case law, decisi...

Personal Choice: A Comparative Analysis

Published in 1915, the poem’s elements of individual freedom and choice owe much to the nation’s foundational thought that can be traced from Thomas Jefferson to the very core of Ralph Waldo Emerson and can even be seen to embody a European existentialistic spirit. Today, Frost’s poem represents us all, whenever we face the diverging paths in our own lives.

The essential symbolism behind The Road Not Taken is the freedom of choice. Frost advances this metaphor by comparing the decision-making process to, “Two roads diverged(ing) in a yellow wood.” It’s notable that Frost uses the ‘roads’ for his symbolic task over the perhaps more clichéd choice of ‘paths&rsqu...

The History of Regulations on Corporate Governance: Comparison between UK and USA

Corporate governance relates to the distribution of rights and obligations among stakeholders in an organization. The different practices around the world, however, have made it virtually impossible to provide a universal definition of corporate governance. The current global financial crisis is perceived to be a result of “a crisis in corporate governance”. The global penetration of Anglo-American institutions of governance and markets have given rise to a number of doubts about the effectiveness of the Anglo-American corporate governance model.

As a result, there is considerable debate over whether world economies will gravitate toward adopting a common Anglo-American corporate governance structure or will...
