Most people are often of the opinion that making happiness in one’s life a top priority goal, is selfish; but great philosophers such as Aristotle, Kant, Buddha, Bertrand Russell all advocated that happiness should be the primary goal in each and everyone’s life. Things on which you do not have direct control such as success, fame, money, power or other people’s blatant opinions are great causes for anxiety.The study we are about to embark on is going to carry out investigations in two key areas “Happiness” and “Intimate Relations” and make an analysis of which influences the other.

Some are of the opinion, that if happiness is the centrifugal point in a relationship, then it would be a strong influence on the intimate life of a couple; but others are of the opposite opinion that intimacy plays a major role in the happiness and well being of individuals.One of the key points that would be covered in this study is the aspect of how love influences not only our happiness but also how it impacts upon our intimate relationships. The very word “Love” kindles such a myriad of feelings and emotions that it is a task trying to give one good definition that sums up such an important word.

As in the case of a couple, the girl enquired of her lover, “Do you love me?” and her lover answered, “You are the light of my life, my sun, moon and stars. You are my everything. Without you, I have no reason for being." The girl once again asked him, “How much do you love me? Her doting lover answered, “Count the stars in the sky.
