The above procedure will help assess the effect of gratitude on prosocial behavior. The dependent variable is the confederates while the independent variables are the other participants.
ii. Procedure – Participants are divided into confederates and participants. They will perform experiment activities together, including hand-eye coordination exercise. Gratitude will be manipulated through amusement and neutrality.
VIII. Conclusion – Gratitude is one of the many positive emotions that people have. When one focuses on the areas that they have gratitude for, their optimism increases. Emotions affect people in ways that they cannot comprehend. Future studies should also research on the effect of single emotions on people.
