With more and more people now using the internet, cyber security threat has become alive and the issue can no longer be overlooked. Yes, cyber security is one of the delayed issues that should have already been taken up by homeland security. This is because of the billions that are lost every year due to cyber security. Many organizations in the United States are going bankrupt due to cyber security.

The government is losing the fight on cyber security and they should hand over this issue to one of the top security organs in the country to deal with the issue with the seriousness it deserves. BCM is a framework that has been set up in order to identify both internal and external threats to an organization. BCM also looks at the potential impacts that these threats may present to an organization. Cyber security has been on the rise over the past few years. This has led to calls from various sections of the public to include cyber security as one of the main responsibilities of homeland security.

This is due to the magnitude this heinous crime presents. Cyber security is threatening to kill businesses all over the world. Our economy, national security is all under threat from cyber security. With a touch of a button, people are able to abuse others, commit fraud and steal the identities of other people (Singer & Friedman, 2014). With the increase in the use of the internet and technology, I strongly believe that cybercrime will replace the traditional business continuity management. We cannot be able to do without the internet.

Therefore, the most logical thing to do is to put more effort on combating cybercrime and minimizes its effects on business.
