Hypothetical Client Helping Hypothetical Client For this assignment, a hypothetical client who is a minor diagnosed with HIV/AIDS was used. The client is a young lady from a single parent (mother) and stays in an urban area. The mother works and is economical stable, but is always busy with her work. Hence, she has no enough time for the client. The client had to come to our agency because of fear and stress of being infected. She is afraid to approach the mother to let her know of her condition.

Shes undergoing depression that is affecting her progress in life. She, therefore, feels empty, without life and no future. She, therefore, found it easy to confide in our agency to let me her with her situation. The mother does not also have time for the client; therefore, the client has no one to talk to and help her. There are three facts about the client that seem most important for one to know in order to offer her a constructive feedback about her case. These facts include the fact that the client is a minor, she lacks proper parental attention, and shes already showing signs of depression, isolation and stress.

For me to help the client, I would recommend treatment whereby the client must ensure that they take their drugs without any failure. Second treatment is recommendation for counselling (Office on Womens Health, 2011). She needs guidance through her difficult moments without letting her feel abandoned. Thirdly, I will need to talk to the mother and let them know about the clients condition so that she receives the best care possible even while at home. To continue the care, I would recommend frequent clinics where the client will have to come back for frequent checkups of her status whether theyre taking their drugs and continued counselling.

Care and support from the parents will also facilitate continued care.ReferenceOffice on Womens Health. (2011, July 1). Parenting a Child with HIV. Retrieved October 24, 2014, from Womens Health.gov: http://womenshealth.gov/hiv-aids/living-with-hiv-aids/parenting-a-child-with-hiv.html
