Implicit AssociationAn implicit association test is a social psychological measure within that is designed to detect an individual’s automatic strength association between mental representations of objects within the memory of the subject person. To some cognizable extent, it is used in clinical, developmental and cognitive psychological research fields. This paper thus seeks to explain the process undertaken when carrying out the test for the subject. It all starts with acknowledging and accepting the terms and conditions of the test which is called the informed consent agreement.

The test I took is called the self-esteem implicit application test. It tests an individual’s self-esteem levels This is after indicatingthe age of the individual since some tests are not available for certain age brackets; 18 years and below. The next stage is the demographics stage where personal information is gathered such as gender, year of birth, race, ethnicity, and level of education, primary citizenship, and residence, and postal code, religious affiliation in respect of political, social and economic.

The test is open and has room for not answering questions with which the individual is not comfortable with. Altogether, the information collected is analyzed by the system and a report given thereof. What came out peculiar with about the test was how close the report corresponded with what I feel deeply inside me about myself. There are a lot of resemblance that are outright. In conclusion therefore, such tests are good in conducting personal assessments. They can be used to identify and categories people/candidates for a given setting.

Although new, it is a process that requires more thought and implementation to aid in people selection who fit correctly in various position.Works citedSchmitz, F.
