Stress experienced by professionals has also been a subject of research and a number of scholars such as Antoniou, Ploumpi, & Ntalla (2013) have also examined how it affects burnout. According to Cooper, Sloan, & Williams’ (2004) model of stress, perceived control and coping style are important predictors of burnout. Antoniou et al. The odds of burnout for a person who has a higher coping ability is 1.11 times higher than that of a person with low stress coping ability. The odds of burnout for a person with higher teaching stress is 0.968 times higher than those with less stress from teaching.
