On the same note, if a course can be introduced in schools' curriculum on how to cope with persons with mental illnesses, then society would have a good understanding of how discrimination affects society (Fink, & Tasman, 1992).

In another dimension, political factors can also play a big part in reducing discrimination against mentally ill persons (Fink, & Tasman, 1992). For example, if governments enact legislations that safeguard the welfare of mentally ill persons, then society would have a positive focus on such persons. Such legislation could focus on issues like special care for persons with mental illnesses, and laws stipulating the effects of discrimination against persons with mental illness.
