Child Psych- Schooling Task: Introduction Educational goals vary among various nations. The variation depends of diverse factors, which may pertain to the education system or religion. The government through various organizations determines the core objective of the education system. Consequently, the activities undertaken in the education system depend on the established objectives. Education is an extremely vital aspect of the development of a child. It enables a child to develop psychologically and intellectually (Charlesworth, 2010).

This write up will analyze my educational experience and contract it to my friend’s experience.At school, we undertook various activities, which aimed at instilling certain values and skills. The skill included reading, writing and basic computer knowledge. Additionally, we also socialized with other students at school. This was a vital stage in building an individual’s character. Consequently, the activities should enable the student to gain basic skills required by a child at the early stages of development.

As the child progresses on, the activities vary with the psychological and intellectual development of the students. As the child approaches puberty, the child has developed significantly. Consequently, the system should instil other intellectual skills which will enable the child develop his/her identity. Once the student is an adolescent, the education system introduced education pertaining to the physical and psychological changes that occur at this stage. This is extremely vital since some of the students are sexually active.

Therefore, the education seems to have catered for all aspects of a child’s development. However, the development of a child requires contribution from various participants in the child’s life. The other key participants include the guardians (parents). The parents should provide an apposite environment for the child to grow spiritually and physically. An appropriate environment will entail where a child feels loved and the guardians meet most needs of the child. This contributes significantly to the development of a child.

A failed family environment would retard the development of a child in a significant way (Charlesworth, 2010).My friend grew up in an Islamic nation. The education system in that nation has close ties with religion. Accordingly, he attended madrasa where he learnt basic Islamic principles. These are the first lessons that the students learns under their system. Additionally, the child learns basic arithmetic, which is extremely vital. The system seems to ignore the other needs of a child since it emphasizes meeting the spiritual needs of a child.

The education system is imbalanced. Hence, the child intellectual and psychological progress is inappropriate. The system fails to instil knowledge and skills that will enable the child understand his/her personality. Developing aspects such as confidence and composure is a vital element of an education system since children encounter such challenges in their young adulthood. Thus, addressing such issue at such a tender age is crucial. However, as my friends progressed, the education system addressed some of the issues that it had failed to address (Charlesworth, 2010).

ConclusionEvidently, I was educated in a better education system, which addressed the student’s need depending on the pupils need at that age. This a progressive system, which builds on what it has previously instilled in the child. My friends system has some faults hence; it may require certain changes.ReferenceCharlesworth, R. (2010).
