Individuals seeking change in their behavioral activities need a follow-up method that regresses any shortcomings. Hypnotherapeutic approaches can be significant for individuals who are undergoing change therapies. The change can be estimated to intellectual insight to emotional integration where an individual is more likely to boost his self-esteem and motivation. This can be done by keeping a follow-up of the steps necessary to manage the effects of change in a balanced manner. It is mainly because change cannot always bring pleasant effects on a person and his environment.

According to Elias (2006), hypnotherapeutic approaches play a vital role in such cases where the changes become seemingly uncontrollable. Hypnotherapeutic approaches include steps such as putting the individual into a trance where he is not able to think rationally. This step is further followed by another step where the individual is taken to his past. The individual is more likely to discuss his past experiences, be it happy or sad. This step of the hypnotherapeutic approach will help the individual reflect and discuss subjects which he will not be able to share with people normally.

This is more likely to diminish fear and pressures from the individual’s mind (Elias 2006).
