Overtime, I may tend to forget the concepts that I have learned and in order to prevent it, I constantly reflect on the information mentally especially when there is time allotted for review in school and whenever I encountered the same concepts or information (maintenance rehearsal). Although my ways of memorizing information and concepts worked, there are times that memorizing seems difficult; an example of which is memorizing procedures that requires specific order or sequence. I do not spend much time and effort in recalling and answering the first and last concepts or information in the list compared with the in-between items that were left unanswered or were given more time and effort to recall (series-position effect). These are the three ways that prove that I am doing well in my current academic pursuit. One may notice that there are some lapses and that remembering short-term information was prominent; thus, I suggest that meaningful learning or use of mnemonics (semantic codes) be used in conjunction with auditory codes to facilitate long-term memory. In addition, I think that my way of learning is purely memorization and lacks organization.
