Extract of sample "Social and Educational Policies"

Children with conduct disorders are marked by characteristics of aggression and destruction. They, therefore, destroy school property and violate school rules as a result of the disorder. These students cannot, therefore, be charged like the other children without the disorder but violate such rules. Education policy formulators and implementers should have exemptions for such cases.

Social policies are formulated to address the conduct and relationship interactions of different individuals coexisting in the same social environment. One policy is on respecting each other’s property failure to which legal action can be employed. Children and adults with conduct disorders have the behavior of destroying property and even theft of such property. The policy should therefore not be enforced on such individuals.

Social policies also involve social norms that should not be violated (http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/918213-overview). Some of those social norms include respect for parents by their children and also not inflicting injuries on other people. The behavioral characteristic of children with conduct disorder is aggression towards people which may cause physical harm, and also includes holding conflicts with their parents against the norms of society. The social policies are therefore implicated on and should be tailored to have allowances for such individuals. Read More
