? Satisfaction In this theory, life satisfaction is under as the correlation between the well-being of a human and hiswealth, health and his access to education. It is an example of directly measuring the level of happiness. This occurs by seeking to determine the levels of happiness in people. Traditionally people used measures of policy success such as GNP or GDP. Some studies have depicted that happiness can truly be measured and effectively. However, this calculation does not base its conclusion solely on directly asking people about their feelings but also employs economic and social development. Therefore, life satisfaction is under description as the way someone perceives how one’s own life has been going on currently and how he perceives the future will turn out. It is under assertion in terms of satisfaction, moods in relation to self-concepts, others, perceived ability to cope with everyday life and achieved objectives and goals. It is the ability to have a favorable and good attitude of one’s personal life like a full package rather than the ongoing current emotion and feelings. It has been under measurement under several key factors, which include education level, economic standing, the residence and experiences among others to show the relation that exists. Several factors have been suggested to contribute to happiness. An equation for happiness has been generated. The formula for happiness is H=S+V+C. H stands for happiness, V stands for voluntary control that is (present, past, future), c stands for circumstances and S stands for set range (Weil & Jansen, 2004). Life satisfaction reflects how experiences affect someone in a positive way. Experiences open the door for people to be motivated to purse and strive to achieve their set objectives and goals. Cognitive processes oriented towards how goals are achieved and perceived include optimism and hope. Higher life satisfaction is linked to optimism while depression symptoms are related to pessimism. In order to understand what citizenship stands for, there are ethics in citizenship. In the second part of the question, it requires an integrated view on how unemployment affects the youth. Citizenship has the definition of being part of a certain country by birth, registration or naturalization. When one is a citizen for a certain country, the requirement for that person as stipulated by the law of that country is to conform. In order for one to be referred to as a citizen for a certain country, they have to be fully patriotic to that country and be ready to lay down their lives protecting it. Patriotism is seen in a citizen if the citizen lives by the values of citizenship. The values of citizenship should be inborn; the first value of citizenship is the fear of God. This value gives a country a bigger more supreme being to believe. It helps citizens make decisions not only in fear of the land’s laws but also in accordance to the teachings of God. A murderer for example has no fear of God since if he or she did they would not be committing murder. Another value for citizens is unity. Unity is the ability to stand together as citizens of a certain country and make decisions together for personal and international development. Citizens should also respect the authority of the land and leaders. Leaders are the people that offer guidance in life and make decisions best for all citizens. Respecting them is a God given obligation since they are blessed from the lord. Citizens should value life. Life is many forms; for plants, life for animals and life for fellow human beings. A country exists because of the coexistence of the environment and the people therefore destruction to the environment messes up the people’s livelihood. If a citizen cares about family and future generations, the possibility that all other values will come automatically is very high. A country that does not care to secure the lives of future generations will probably die out after a few generations due to greed and misuse of resources. Unemployment is lack of a job to help a person achieve primary needs. The rate of unemployment in the world especially for the youths is alarming all around the world. Young men and women with no education get to a stage in life where they have to provide for their 6families and they realize how desperate they are. Unemployment takes a toll on the youth and they utilize the energy they have in wrongdoing just to get some money for basic needs. Most of the people idling about while others go to work and school are of the age between twenty-one and thirty-five. These are those above school going age, they should receive employment but they have no credible qualifications. Others are qualified but there are no vacancies for them to fill (DOLAN & GOSSELIN, 1998). The roughness for the unemployed trying to get food and shelter for those dependent on them causes them to break the citizenship values. A young man fresh from the army for example lacks any other decent job and is under manipulation to get involved into robbery with violence. In the process, they kill people just in a bid to meet their basic needs. Unemployment causes citizenship to lose its meaning and values especially among the youths. In a bid to get a satisfactory life, the youth end up wasting their lives in criminal enterprises and end up in jail. Life is not satisfactory unless the basic needs for oneself and those dependent on them are under satisfaction. Human needs are recurring and untouchable by other people. If one has no constant source of income for food and shelter, they end up becoming homeless and suffering from malnutrition. The ability of the human body to adapt to its surrounding is what makes survival for us as humans possible all around the world. When a young able-bodied youth with a degree in business fails to get a job that can provide they adapt. The adaptation may be negative but it is essential for survival (Blum, 2011). The youth may fail to adhere to the values of citizenship, but the reason they do so is for lack of any other optional provision method for their basic needs. The relationship between unemployment and citizenship values in my opinion is adaptation. Adaptation may not be positive but it is important. If the rate of unemployment is dealt with, then the youth will adapt to comfortable living and abide by the values of citizenship. Bibliography BLUM, D. F. 2011.
