This helps performers in the corporate world anticipate customer needs and athletes anticipate opponents’ movements. Circumstances experienced by a person, especially during early childhood, can affect their ability to engage in deliberate practice. The circumstances act like a supportive environment for the individual. Top performers use their short-term memory to remember events by grouping them. Sam Walton had to change how the managers interacted with employees to change the way the employees interacted with customers (Colvin, 2008). Students in the MLOS program should read the book to understand the elements that separate top performers from others. Students have to practice the details contained in this book to improve performance.
