Historical Events The purpose of this piece of work is to investigate the effectiveness of test and measurements. Additionally, the construction of a validity preference that can be used to solve a range of diverse academic problems. Test items are specific referencing questions on the test. Development of an item guided by a set of agreed objectives to the test questions. Thus for an item, to be significant it must be referring to the objective of interest to be measured. Test specifications however, dictate on how each objective should be measured by one or more items.

To construct an item is a process since the item must be valid and reliable. Validity means that the item captures the main area of test questions. The item should also be reliable meaning that the it is efficient and appropriate measure of a candidate capability which also is a vital entity in ensuring test validity. Historical events influence the development of tests and measurement this is because in the literature field criticisms is a crucial area where theories and ideas are evaluated and put to scrutiny of thought.

Criticism is critical since before an item of measurement approved by experts called upon to write test items or criticize ideas. This serves a vital role in improving the quality of work and encourages academic discussions. History influences the development of tests and measurement since they assessed by current literature, academic knowledge, and expert knowledge than mere thoughts. Over the decades, psychology has played a key role in facilitating the present day testing measurement practices.

Its evident that no contemporary measurements test that erupted from the vacuum. This historical testing has taken shape with constant interaction with psychology discipline. An example of the historical event is the invention of the testing battery that is used to test and sense the motor. The invention by Galton was a significant boost to a vast field of academic discipline. Psychology is termed physical sciences as it is able to carry out experiments foundation based measurements. Tests and measurements These are the tools that guide research and used to measure various tests of the social sciences disciplines.

Testing and measurements perform a lot functions in the education life of the candidates. Thorough testing helps identify the knowledge of candidates in a vast field of academic testing. Major ideas and concepts are observed through academic testing. Additionally, comprehensive testing improves the understanding of the new concepts and texts of a subject. For one to solve a range academic problems due to its ability. The knowledge acquired helps solve previous problems. The tests improve topic analysis and ability to organize work.

On top of that, old ideas are used to generate new ones. The synthesis relates past knowledge and integrates with innovative, informative ideas. The evolution of current ideas is performed sound arguments. The process of test and measurement development requires proper examination to validate and make more reliable. Validation helps determine the ability to which the intended measurement is done. On the other hand, reliability helps accurately measure the skills of the candidate and the necessity to achieve test validity.

The candidates need to perform a job analysis by conducting many testing task measurement. Additionally, testing items should be developed adequately that the requirements of test and measurements. The validated items should be reviewed if the measurement assessments are to be of any value. On top of that, the measured items should be assembled for better delivery of testing exams. The results of the testing measurement should be equivalently constructed and analyzed to achieve effective results.

For the testing measurement assessments, there should be a pass mark with the aim of operating and maintaining the tests. In conclusion, the test and measurement are particularly essential for the continuous progress of academic development. The method sparks new innovative ways to solve current academics problems. New York: Longman. Constructing validity test measurement To construct validity assessment refers to the operation of constructing tests that are practically developed from theories. They assess the functions of theories. Validity measures extremely useful testing measurement for a specific objective and purposes. For example, the candidate may create a questionnaire of determining the IQ which is a measurement of individual intelligence. The evidence of validity assessment involves the empirical and theoretical interpretation and analysis of the validity constructed.

The IQ assessment is designed to experiment various aspects that best determine the testing measurements. The following guidelines are essential in constructing a validity preference: 1. The testing level of the assigned items should assign appropriately to individuals with the ability to perform the test. This gives the candidates the opportunity to explore their abilities. 2. The items should be as easy as possible to make sure that candidates have a clear understanding of testing items. This eliminates grammatical errors and irrelevant details that may lead to confusion. 3. The important concepts, ideas, skills and information should clearly test.

Specific facts should reflect the actual test of assessment. 4. The tests and measurements should not have verbatim citation from other related sources. This prevents concept memorization which may not be compatible with current academic problems. 5. The test items based on individual opinions, and then the specific individual should be quoted to prevent duplication of ideas. In conclusion, constructing validity for a testing and measurements is essential in assessing the practicability of theories to solve many academic problems.
