As an ordinary employee, my goal is to enjoy my work while I envisioned for a professional growth through improving my nursing skills and communication. However, I started experiencing difficulties in my work after my encounter with two of my colleagues. An example of that interaction happened when one of them showed rudeness as I tried to ask for operational assistance for the newly acquired machine. She gave an insolent answer in saying that if I do not know how to do things in the hospital, I had better resign.

Not only once I encountered negative reactions from her but several occasions. The other interaction I had is with the other colleague who has a quarrelsome personality. One time, she provoked a scene where she intentionally toppled a povidon liquid that tainted my uniform and uttered hurtful comments when I was charting that resulted in our “little” argument although proves stressful.  Strategies If the above scenario is not improved, it may result in lack of productivity that would be reflected in the employee’s absenteeism, late arrival and early leaving in work, careless mistakes, and long breaks (Croome, 2000).

Thus, strategies must be employed to resolve such conflict and improve workplace environment. One stratagem is to enhance communication. Communication could be improved through a smile or just a mere hello technique whether you like the colleague or not. Starting a positive environment with colleagues is one way of teaching them to behave the way you do.. Another strategy would be to provide opportunity for colleagues. At times, lack of opportunity for others would be a reason for them to display negative behaviors. This technique includes identifying learning needs. Once their learning needs are recognized, support their undertakings. Encourage them to take responsibility for their own learning making it sure
