One thing should be kept in mind that stress always do not arises in situations where the pressure and demand of the work supersede the coping abilities of the workers but it may also arises in circumstances where the abilities of the workers are not utilized sufficiently or exploited.

Although a fact this assumption will not bear much significance in this paper and the former assumption will be given more stress. Work related stress also results in degrading health results to the workers (Leka .2003, pp.1-3). The costs incurred for the health costs are approximately twice as high as for the other employees in the workplace. The consequences of stress related illness and from depression and heart diseases are subjected to the business a loss of productivity of an estimated value of $200 to $300 billion per year.

People working under stressful conditions are often found to be vulnerable to diseases like heart and cardiovascular diseases, anxiety problems, depression and demoralization and also lead to vigorous addiction to smoking and alcoholism. Gender also plays a predominant part in the stress related diseases and it is found to be of various degrees in the male and the female Various health diseases are encountered which include heart and cardiovascular diseases, anxiety problems, depression and demoralization ( Stress in the.

The study was examined in order to find out the influence of sex, work, work stress and health related behaviors among the employees of the College. From the hypothesis one it could be assumed that there would be significant differences in the levels of job stress and related behaviors between the higher qualifications and lower qualifications was confirmed. The pattern of the result found that the upper and middle level staffs are found to report higher job stress and having more negative attitudes with more health disorders.

In case of relation between health related behaviors, there were also quite significant differences among the items measures between the health behaviors between the upper and lower employees based on the qualification. From hypothesis two it was predicted that the there would prevail significant differences in the levels of job stress between the males and the female staffs. This essay makes a conclusion that stress with its adverse consequences hampers different aspects of the lives of the people in the workplace.

In learning institutes specially the stress related to the job give rise to tremendous decline in the work productivity and also comes with the negative externality in the work environment. The ability to cope as its core fundamentals, stress depended on various factors like gender, social positioning, interaction with the people in the workplace, remunerations earned, work load and so on. Theories have been presented for the understanding the mechanism of the capability to cope cycle with the increase in the stress and remedial policies have been also given.

Gender issue is a big issue in the stress related to the work place.
