An Analyst Report on the Future of the Chinese Communist Party The Chinese Communist Party faces a major hurdle of the unresolved tension between the economic and political reforms. With respect to this challenge, the party still maintains extensive political power with an aim of exercising its controls in the major sectors in the country (Schuman 1). If the state wants to ensure that the policies that it pledged at the Plenum come to a realization, it must reduce its role. Schuman observes that a well-functioning economic system must have banks that function properly for instance the government must set clear lending decisions.

State corporations must operate within the healthy political framework away from political interferences to allow for the flourishing of the private sector. David Shambaugh observes that the C.C.P needs to encourage particular policies that promote competition such as liberalization of prizes (Buckley 1). Such policies would mean that the politicians sit back and observe how the market regulates resources. Zhao et al. notes the rising tussle between the economic reformists and the authoritarian party leaders leads to some of the fatal problems noted by Barmé. If C.C.

P is to succeed, it must let go of the reins of control in areas where its indulgence is not welcome. The second challenge facing the party is the lack of accountability on sensitive issues that face its people (Xu and Albert 1). Among the grievances are the prevalence of income inequality, the widespread absence of consumer protection and the constant allegations of land grabbing. In addition, the issue of human rights degradation is also prevalent.

Surprisingly, C.C.P is responsible for all these injustices against its nationals. Activists have exposed evidenced of forced sterilization that was a direct violation of human rights. In all these accusations and grievances raised by activists and citizens, the government of the communist party could not offer viable responses.

The scenario depicts a government that is not responsible for its people. C.C.P lacks substantial accountability for its people and in respect to this, one may conclude that it is on the path of its decline. The challenges facing the party have a significant relationship with the collapse of the party. To begin with, the rising tension between the economic and political reforms causes the government to have an excess capacity of debts. It also creates dependence on investment and a significant level of lawlessness in the commercial sector.

It has embraced reforms based on the theory of “three representatives.” However, without full economic reforms that lead to the adoption of a modern economy, C.C.P is on the path of collapsing for the lack of these changes will integrate into major problems. The inability to account for the injustices in the country depicts that governance of the country is on a loose balance. Mattis notes that the U.S may empower the civil society through placing them in a position where they can display a significant political force.

Masoud observes an increasing trend of civil unrest in China. Americans may capitalize on this in dislodging C.C.P from power. Hence, it may increase the chances of the party’s collapse. In conclusion, C.C.P faces rising tensions between the political and economic reforms, as well as the lack of accountability in its dealings, and this propagates the advent of its fall.
