Admittedly, the Antarctic region is a very important agent in global climate, absorbing a lot of heat and carbon dioxide.

The sea ice around the continent is important for the proper exchange of energy between the Sun and the Earth. In fact, recent climate change and human activity were considered as the culprit behind the climate change in the Arctic. However, the new study reveals that there are many more factors to be identified. For example, while there is a decline in Arctic sea ice, there is no decline in Antarctic sea ice. Thus, the study shows that there are more culprits other than greenhouse gases and holes in the ozone layer.
