Change in Management No: Change in management The employees of the firm are quite rebellious towards me as a new manager as they consider me in a contrasting role as compared to the old manager. I am quite aware that you worked with enough struggle with the previous manager and you were on relax terms with him. However, I feel that at every place there is a chance of improvement and this fact cannot be denied. I believe in Bureaucratic management style and this does not mean that the employees will not be able to work in form of a team.

They will have equal opportunities for progress. They will just have to follow certain procedures and policies designed by the management and I assure you that these policies and procedures will be friendly for the employees. I want to know all the concerns of the employees and I am sure that my policies and procedures will be accommodative. I will only prove to be a strict manager if all the codes and conducts defined by the management are not followed. Discipline is required everywhere to lead a healthy life and to perform all the functions appropriately.

You are always welcome to come to me to discuss all your problems. There are certain suitable ways with the help of which, you can perform all organizational functions successfully with less chances of making errors and you have to understand this aspect to work as a successful functional employee of the firm. I will conduct weekly meetings to assess company’s progress along with employees’ progress. For this purpose, a board will be there that will be accountable for bringing forth all the problems and concerns related to work and employees.

The employees will be restricted to work according to the company’s set procedures and policies. The employees will have chances to win bonuses and allowances for their work. Employees’ performance will be evaluated in every three months and every high performing employee will be given a bonus for working efficiently. However, there will be strict steps against employees showing uninterested approach towards their assigned jobs. I belief that the subordinates should perform all their duties with full strength and should not break the rules set for them as these rules are designed for the safety and security of employees.

Employees should follow safety related procedures and should not overlook them. This is for their own interest and they should understand it. The culture of the organization should remain as such and no change is possible. However, we can consider issues related to change that are for the betterment of the company. The approaches that I will follow during my tenure in this company will be good communication with the employees, weekly and monthly meetings for checking the progress of the company, analysis of employees’ performance, allotment of bonuses and allowances for eligible candidates and gathering of suggestions related to decision making.

The final decision making power will remain with the manager. Employees’ suggestions will be given importance but as a manager, I will have the power to decide according to the situation created. My policies will be accommodative but employees will have to follow policies and procedures set by the administration. Employees’ problems will be discussed and all proper measures will be taken to solve those problems.
