Extract of sample "Cause and Effect of Global Warming"

The cause is what makes something happen; the effect is what happens because of the cause. Nearly all of the science work and nature’s studies occur in pairs of cause and effect. “If you prove the cause, you at once prove the effect; and conversely nothing can exist without its cause.”(Aristotle and Great Books of the Western World, 1952). Global warming is also causing an effect subject. Global warming is the rise in earth's temperature mainly due to its inhabitants and their activities. On average 7 billion tons of carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere by various activities. It not only threatens human beings but also animals and fertile land. Gases like carbon dioxide and methane are the main contributors to this nuisance(Ham et al.,1993) Most of the sunlight is reflected from Earth, but the presence of these unwanted gases prevents its flow back to outer space and consequently re-reflected onto Earth. The use of chemicals and the dumping of industrial waste into the sea are the main factors of this evil cause.
