These acts administer the rules and regulations about the rights and responsibilities of management and union.

The Occupational Health and Safety Act state that there should a minimum limit for the health and safety of workers. Below which the health of workers should not be risked. The safety here does not only include physical safety but it also includes protection and fortification against hostility and mistreatment. This act sets up certain responsibilities for the management (employers) as well as workers. The management is responsible for producing and executing a harassment and violence policy, for providing proper guidance and training opportunities to the workers, for recruiting people of proper age group, for making availability of emergency products and programs.

Moreover the management should also have the health and safety program in black and white. The workers on the other hand are also assigned with certain responsibilities which are; they should take appropriate care of themselves and they should be careful that behavior and attitude should not affect others workers in a negative way, they are bound to pursue the protection measures in the organization, they should take part in the training and guidance programs, they should be very precautious and careful while using the machines they should also put on all the safety measures that are required, they should collaborate with the management and health committee in order to solve health and safety problems.

This acts provides the workers with three important rights (1) “The right to know” all the unsafe and dangerous aspects of the organizations. This Act by implementing a minimum limit to health and safety measures enables the workers to work in an environment that value their life.

The Labor Standards Act puts forward certain principles regarding matters such as wage rates, working hours, execution of workers and payment to workers on holidays. This act has greater significance for those who will begin their professional life as it depicts most of the circumstances that are associated with their profession. This Act is implemented on all the workers of an organization; embracing the entire temporary, permanent, visiting, part-time and full-time workforce. This act helps the younger generation in selecting a better work life for them by providing them with the necessary information regarding their work life.

The Trade Union Act assigns different responsibilities and rights to work force and management which help in creating a union, striking out a concession or negotiation that is beneficial for both the management and the union and settling down arguments among union and management. The entire workforce is permitted to join the union which is a collective body formed by the mutual consent of workers and it is the sole representative of the entire work force and it negotiates with the management on behalf of all the workers.

This act allows an open environment in which both the management and workers can have their say and settle down their disagreements collectively These legislations play an important in creating an environment that is beneficent for both the management and the work force.
