In generalized anxiety disorder, the patient experiences a feeling of worry that some describe as a great feeling of uneasiness, doom, or dread. The symptoms are different in accordance with the disease severity. Some patients show signs of motor tension that include headaches, unable to relax, muscle pains, spasms, and trembling.
