The consideration requires the utilization of Christian values necessary for building a moral philosophy in nursing practice. The goal is to ensure that nurses honor the human aspects of nursing, patients’ subjective experiences, and their inner life (Watson, 2001).

It would be vital to integrate nursing education with liberal education in humanities, arts and sciences. Such an approach enables nursing students to obtain knowledge regarding social, economic, and political issues. They use the knowledge to analyze professional and societal problems, develop critical thinking skills, and appreciate the character of their professions (Beck, 2001). The aforementioned considerations support concepts and nursing theories essential for the translation of a nurse’s affective characteristics into appropriate, compassionate, and sensitive aspects of care.
