The greatest thing that I learned in all those years of service is the fact that in order to be happy with yourself one needs to do something they enjoy, while at the same time making a descent living. Taking care of others always interest me. There is something that happens within a person when they bring joy or comfort to another person. Helping and taking care of people makes you feel that you have contributed in some way in making another life more beautiful, less painful and more hopeful, at least that’s the way I feel about it. My aunt who never lacks aggression became a nurse in 1952 at the age of 33. She would often say "whatever direction we choose, if we can realize that every hurdle we jump strengthens and prepares us for the next one, we're already on our way to success". With this in mind I enrolled at Medgar Evers college to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration. It’s challenging every bit of the way and I am scheduled to graduate in June of 2006. I am applying to Wagner’s nursing program because I believe in myself, in what I have and can achieve and most of all believe that this opportunity will help me to help people with the talents and skills that I posses. Pursuing a career in Nursing will enable me to learn and provide professional medical assistance to people who are in need. Nursing Nursing has always been a profession of respect and dignity. With the increasing knowledge about medicine and relative diseases it has been seen that nursing has grown from a profession to be an act of service. I have always been interested in serving individuals living in this world and nursing is the profession which best serves my interests.

This is due to the fact that nursing is a professional field which is considered to be a dignified and respectable field. Nurses form an integral part of the hospitals and the healthcare system as a whole.
