We like celebrities. Whether we admit it or not, everyone in society is influenced by well known and famous people. We often like to say a famous dialogue from popular movies such as ‘Bond….James Bond’ from the famous bond series or ‘I’ll be back’ by the famous Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘The Terminator’. At other times, we like to sing or at least bring out a tune of a well-known song or a musical that is soaring in the charts. In the recent past, most of us especially those from the younger generation must have witnessed quite a few of them listening to or even singing popular singles such as ‘Rehab’ by Amy Winehouse or ‘Love Today’, by Mika.

Songs like these remind of the person behind its creation and their memory stays on for a long time. Some of the most prominent British music bands that have caught the admiration of people the world over are Queen, Pink Floyd and Radiohead. One must, of course, remember the all-time legends – the Beatles and the impact they continue to have today in the minds of people. Fans have gone to great lengths to feel and resemble as closely as possible to their music icons. From copying hairstyles and matching shoes to perfumes and earrings, the public is obsessed with famous people, their style of dressing, the places they shop, the places they eat and anything remotely associated to them becomes a subject of immediate interest.

We always find famous personalities especially from the music world constantly being hounded by the paparazzi. The media is notorious for generating lots of public attention into the private lives of these famous people. As such, we are constantly under the influence of celebrities.
