Clint Black at Beacon Theater On 26 April marked the big event that I had ever attended at Beacon theatre where Clint Black was performing. Globally, this artist commands a big crowd of fans due to his remarkable performance as well as reputation of unequaled expertise musically. The man is behind some of the top rated hits in the US such as A Better man, Burn One Down and Put Yourself in my Shoes, which not only has he written them but also recorded and released by himself. It is due to his prowess in country music that on the evening of 26th April, all headed to Beacon Theatre, New York.

The theatre was full to capacity at both the balcony and reserved seating area (“City of Hopewell”). Live on stage were bands entertaining the crowds that seemed quite wild. The theatre was quite noisy since people had come from all occupations just to be part of history in the making. While some people were singing along with the bands performing on stage, others were busy talking and taking photographs of the event, their main intention was seeing the man of the day. Finally, the most awaited time arrived, this was when the master of ceremony announced that it was time for Clint to take the stage and meet his fans.

An ear-deafening cheer filled the entire theatre as Clint Black emerged from back stage wearing his usual signature of black cow boy hat and a guitar in his hands. What followed was one hit song after another while the crowd sang along as well as dancing. Although the concert was to end at 9pm, it went on for another hour due to crowd’s demand that wanted to hear more of Black’s music. After singing his last song, he grabbed the microphone and appreciated the crowd for the large turn up. The crowd cheered and clapped as he once again disappeared at the back stage.

Slowly the crowd started departing while some stayed behind to grab Black’ latest album that were being sold to the crowd. Lady Gaga at Wells Fargo Center On May 12, Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia was the place to be. This was because one iconic pop musician, Lady gaga, was live on stage to give her fans what they waited for long. Undeniably, she has a recognition not only in the US but also globally due to her prowess when in pop music, apart from the best female pop musician, Gaga has also won a number of awards hence making the concert a “must attend”.

The venue was full to capacity with people from diverse especially youths attended her function with heightened expectations. On this particular evening, youths came out in large numbers adorned in weird costumes in move to emulate Gaga’s mode of dressing. Immediately after appearing on the stage, the crowd went wild cheering and clapping. Lights went off and laser lights fired through the entire arena making the crowd cheer even more. When the lights finally came back, on stage was Lady Gaga alongside male and female dancers all adorned in peculiar attires (Duckett).

The show began at a rather high note due to her vigorous energy whenever she is on stage. This is because apart from singing, she kept the crowd on their feet due to the entertainment her dancers provided on stage. Occasionally, she would disappear back stage and in a second be back wearing a different costume. Due the high pace that she was taking things, by the end of the concert she had sang dozens of songs. Some of the songs that made the crowd go wild included her all-time hit song Poker face and the recently released Applause that is receiving lots of air play not only in the US but globally.

Other songs included Bad Romance, Gypsy and Born This Way. Work Cited“Clint Black to perform at the Beacon Theatre”. City of Hopewell. 2014. Web. 18 May 2014. Duckett, Jodi.” Applause for Lady Gaga for ArtPop tour in Philadelphia”. The Morning Call. 2014. Web. 18 May 2014.
