Toyota Motors Corporation has over the years built a world-class corporate reputation by emphasizing quality, design excellence, and customer focus as well as constant improvement in its manufacturing and operation processes. This has brought many benefits including customer loyalty and increased market share. The 2009 recall however strained this brand by bringing in quality concerns in the vehicles. This treatise will rely on the impact of persuasive information in the forming of opinions to demonstrate that Toyota Motors Corporation’s corporate reputation was compromised by the recall.
