How I Gain Higher Education in the Area of HealthcareRight after completing my employment as a medical technician with the air force of the United States I realized that it is time to gain higher education in the area of healthcare and pursue my career goal of being a leader in the field of healthcare. Due to this I have decided to join the Long Island University (LIU) located in the region of Brooklyn (Liu.edu, 2014). As a medical technician I was required to assist medical as well as nursing staff in dealing and treating patients of the air force as well as the common population when even the air force was indulged in helping those who had experienced accidents and natural hazards.

While helping around I realized that people are in need of more and more healthcare practitioners. They just do not need practitioners who consider the field of healthcare as a professional arena. They need people who empathize with them and will go to every extent to help them and be at their side when they are in pain. Working as a medical technician was not my first attachment with the field of healthcare. I have even worked with a military based hospital called Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

These endeavors have helped me in developing knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) required being associated with the field of healthcare. I believe that that LIU can polish my existing KSAs and help me in developing new ones so I can continue to contribute to the health and wellbeing of those who are suffering from diseases and injuries. I have always been ready to take up challenges whether associated with my professional life or personal life. I have even hiked in the region of Sandia Mountains which was one of the most adventurous and challenging task I have ever worked on.

I believe that my openness towards challenges and my willingness towards helping others can contribute to becoming a successful medical professional.Works CitedLiu.edu,. 'Brooklyn Home - Long Island University'. N. p., 2014. Web. 25 Aug. 2014.
