May 31, Introduction Junot Diaz has a unique way of describing his love for New Jersey (Diaz Diaz perfectly explains that he owes his current mastery of the writing art to New Jersey. Diaz admits that his two communities are often misunderstood. However, Diaz explains that he can happily survive in both communities. Diaz explains that his original community is the Dominican Republic. Diaz feels that his native community is often “generalized, dismissed … underappreciated (Diaz 1).” Diaz affirms this also occurs in New Jersey, his new growing up community.

New Jersey was instrumental in catapulting him into his currently prestigious MIT writing mentorship. Diaz convincingly proves New Jersey think is a great place to live in. New Jersey Diaz rightfully describes New Jersey as the place for budding artists to improve their preferred skills (Sarver 33). New Jersey’s popular Montclair bookstores enhance the artist’s learning experiences (Diaz 1). The Red Bank theatre molds the theatre hopefuls to become future stage actors, singer, and writers.

The Monmouth Country theatre offers another venue for individuals to fulfill their theater-related dreams. The beaches of Seaside Heights and Sandy Hook offer a good alternative for the budding landscape artists. The Stoke State Forest is a place for artists to commune with nature. In fact, the New Jersey city’s museum offers the art masterpieces of Hudson County artists (Sarver, New Jersey Day Trips 99). Further, Diaz correctly espouses New Jersey as a robust mixture of different cultures.

People of one ethnic enclave can easily mingle with the people of other ethnic enclaves of the community (Diaz 1). One very successful mingling of different enclaves can be found within the Rutgers environment. New Brunswick’s Demarest Hall offers the enthusiastic art students a dormitory to master their chosen craft. Diaz’ poignantly espouses his alma mater, Rutgers College, as the best places to excellently shape one’s writing skills. Further, Diaz perfectly shows New Jersey is near New York.

The author affirms that the New Jersey art graduates can bring their art into the busier and more financially blessed New York atmosphere. Furthermore, Diaz correctly included the above discussions to bring home his point. The readers of the Diaz article will understand what makes New Jersey a cool place to jump into. As proof, Diaz explains the famous painter landscape artist, essay writer, and sculptor Robert Smithson mastered his various crafts while growing up within the confines of New Jersey’s Passaic district as well as Clifton district.

The Smithson example will easily persuade the doubting article readers to accept New Jersey as a good art training or living alternative (Diaz 1). Conclusion Based on the above discussion, Junot Diaz correctly persuades the article readers New Jersey is one of the greatest places to live in and master one’s chosen craft. People of different races are able to live happily side by side. People of one ethnic group are able to get along with the members of New Jersey’s other ethnic groups.

People who dream to be future famous artists master their craft in the favorable learning environment of New Jersey. The community offers learning sites that will hone one’s chosen professional path. Evidently, Junot Diaz convincingly proves New Jersey is a great place to live in. Works Cited Diaz, Junot. "A Compact, Complicated Place." New Jersey Monthly 2010 (vol 2010). Print. Sarver, Patrick.
