Environmental Heat Index Measurement Introduction Heat Index refers to a certain region’s extent of coldness and warmthstate based on relative humidity (Gieseke 175). This implies suppose a region has high quantities of humidity, then its heat high index is and vice versa (Gieseke 175). Determining this extent of quantity of humidity’s effect on heat index entails use of varied instruments whereby some are digital whereas others analog. The latter have been in use for long until better and more inherent accurate components were developed to give accurate results having decimals contrary to analog ones.

This study’s core focus encompasses thermal stress, which is exchange of heat with an ambient environment from a radiating body. However, this phenomenon may differ significantly based on varied factors besides location, which are climatic conditions, work demand and clothing. Hence, influencing workers’ conduct especially if they are working in a closed or poorly ventilated place to the extent some may exhibit irritability, working slowly or taking persistent breaks to go out where conditions are favorable.

Therefore, the knowledge of this phenomenon is essential to engineers and other related experts in structural engineering when designing appropriate buildings in quest of installing proper ventilations. In this experiment, interval for elevation of temperature was at least 10 minutes in order to allow even distribution of heat and for the used equipments to stabilize for better results. Obtaining of the required results entailed measuring of both WBGTin and WBGTout coupled with tabulating them in a table for later comparisons when giving deductions.

Hence, compare them though in ascertaining the premise of this experiment divergence will not show big margins. This experiment seeks to compare the two equipments’ accuracies based on their results. 3 O2MethodologyAfter having obtained the required materials and equipments required for this experiment, the second step was to set up the entire structure as shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3.
