Part I -Personal ment My fascination for biotechnology has been the main reason for me to choose this academic discipline and it has generated profound interest for science and technology in me. I have excelled in my studies during the final year of biotechnology with good academic record and project experience. I want to pursue my Masters Program with a recognized institution and my education, experience and life ambition would prove me right. I have been interested in studying living systems and organism since my school days. This passion led me to undertake Bachelor Degree program in Bio technology. As I pursue this course, I realized that my choice would give me opportunity to enter in a professional field which can explore my knowledge and expertise. I have understood that in order to be productive and beneficial to science and technology world, one should have in depth knowledge of multiple subjects. At this moment, I realize that I require a higher education in bio- technology from a reputed University. As this institution has a prominent place in educational field I understand the quality of its education. I would be extremely pleased to complete my Masters program from your esteemed University. I am confident that a Masters Degree from your University can enable me to attain a prospecting career benefits. I believe that my studies and the project experience would be an attraction in my admission application. My passion and dedication to my academics will be my best strength as an applicant. Part II Skills and Abilities I am privileged to present my abilities, skills and experience in this field of study to acquire my position in the University. I would initiate by narrating that I had computer science education which would enable me to acquire more computer science solutions and data base applications. In understand computer knowledge is mandatory in Biotechnology studies and this would be a highlight of my skills. I also have credible theoretical knowledge in Biotechnology by reading plenty of journals and books. Apart from this, I have some experience in working with special need children for seven month as a volunteer. This was a moment when I realized that my studies could contribute to society for scientific advances which can help physically challenged children. I would like to put forward also my knowledge and expertise in laboratory techniques. The Polymerase Chain reaction is one technique related to DNA study I got acquainted with apart from Chromatography. I am proficient in Gel electrophoresis, Western blot and ELISA test .These are some of the techniques which I got familiar with during my project accomplishment. During my project development I also understood that it is a beneficial academic activity which gives various knowledge and experience to student. My project experience has made me realize that diligence, hard work and intelligence make one a better student of biotechnology. And I believe these qualities have increased in me with the completion of my graduation. During my academic period, I have always struggled to improve my analytical and problem solving skill by dedicating more time to studies. I have given more time in experiments and as a result, I have gained more information on complexities of bio – technological processes. My main modules of study were bioprocess technology, recombinant DNA applications, bioinformatics, environmental biotechnology, and microbial form and function. Once I complete the graduation, I have the opportunity to apply for Medical Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical & Molecular Sciences Research and Biopharmaceuticals. My project has given me a platform to identify my strengths and talents in this field. Another interesting area of study which enhanced by knowledge and skill was biomedical side of bio – technology. The applicability of this study in health care treatment, including, monitoring and treatment accompanied by design and problem solving skills of engineering is well known. Also I have gained co – operation, inter personal skills, team – orientation and patience during my study. Finally I would like to reinstate that my potential lies in biotechnology, and I am determined to pursue my studies in the same field. I believe that I can find out solutions to some of the growing environmental issues of the world once I have a masters degree in biotechnology. During my academic years and project I understood many concepts and ideas which are relevant to biotechnology study.
